handmade living Excerpt in the Herald Sun
Big congrats to Tracey Donohoe of Tracey D for this fabulous excerpt from handmade living - published in the Herald Sun's Weekend magazine yesterday! Doesn't it look just fabulous?
It's such a thrill to see handmade living doing so well, only a short time after release. May it continue!

handmade living Book Signing and Chai Tea at Paperchain
Talk about a wonderful way to wind up a massive weekend of handmade living book launch events...
Illustrator, graphic designer and major contributor Tina Snerling and I spent an hour at Paperchain bookstore in Manuka, Canberra, for a relaxed and totally lovely book signing, along with the gorgeous Anthea Cahill from RealChai.
We were really in giggle mode and just spent the whole time laughing and chatting and sipping tea with several customers. It was such a lovely experience. Thanks, Paperchain!
handmade living Book Stall at the Canberra Centre
| me with riley and ella |
We had a lovely book stall at the Canberra Centre on Saturday, as part of our book launch celebrations for handmade living - right outside Borders, too!
So wonderful to chat to the general public about the book and spend some much-needed one-on-one time with my fellow book creators - Julie Nichols and Tina Snerling. We've already nutted out the next book! Just you wait...

Riley and the Curious Koala Reading and Signing at Dymocks
Huge thanks to the lovely Fiona Nichols from Dymocks Tuggeranong for a gorgeous book reading and signing. Kieron came along, too, for some live drawing - and we gave away a book and also his drawings to the lucky attendees!
So lovely to chat and meet the kids and parents and share my third Riley book. Fiona even did an amazing book display in her shop window. We felt tres special - as you can see from the photos above. Thanks for coming along, everyone!
Riley and the Curious Koala Book Reading and Signing at Paperchain
What a gorgeous reading at Paperchain bookstore in Manuka. The heavens opened and the rain came down, but it couldn't keep the kids from enjoying a story reading and koala mask craft. Such a warm and lovely atmosphere, with koalas aplenty. Thanks for having us, Paperchain!
Reading of Riley and the Curious Koala at St Monica's
In late November, I visited one of my favourite schools in Canberra - St Monica's - for a book reading to 120 students, who are all very familiar with the Riley series. They laughed their way through the funniest Riley book yet, and once again delighted me with their fabulous questions and big smiles. Thank you again to the eternally supportive and majorly book-loving Rachael Hind for having me.
Riley and the Curious Koala Launch Party
The Riley and the Curious Koala Launch party at Dalton's bookstore in Canberra was such a raging success. Over 100 people packed in to this stunning bookstore for fun and games, koala masks and the most exquisite cakes from Elizabeth Wright at pARTy cakes for the Sydney-themed candy bar.
Enjoy this peek and you can see the entire thing right here. Thanks to Jen Leheny from Red Instead for the photos.
